Youth Orchestra
Symphony in C, the region’s only Young Professionals Orchestra, invites students ages 10–18 to learn and perform core orchestral repertoire with our talented roster of young professional musicians.
2025–2026 Schedule
Auditions will be held on Monday, October 27 from 6:30–8:30 pm. We anticipate holding rehearsals at Rutgers–Camden most Monday evenings from 6:30–8:30 pm, beginning November 10 and running through May. Once we receive official confirmation of all dates from Rutgers staff, an updated calendar will be posted here and registered students will be notified.
Our Program
The Symphony in C Youth Orchestra now includes chamber music for all participants. In addition to performing in the full symphony orchestra, led by Joanne Erwin, students will rehearse and perform in small chamber ensembles coached by Symphony teaching artists. Both the full orchestra and chamber ensembles will perform on the Winter and Spring Youth Orchestra concerts.
