Symphony in C Receives Grant from TD Charitable Foundation

COLLINGSWOOD, NJ (April 4, 2016) – The nationally-recognized Symphony in C under the leadership of Music Director Stilian Kirov is pleased to be a recipient of a $7,500 grant from the TD Charitable Foundation.

“Our grant from the TD Charitable Foundation will enable Symphony in C to reach over 15,000 students annually through our award-winning Music Matters! education programs. The TD Charitable Foundation’s generosity will significantly impact our work with students from the City of Camden in our Classroom Symphony and Summer Camp and Youth Orchestra programs,” said Pamela Brant, President of Symphony in C. “The grant will also support the development of our gifted musicians who are on the cusp of careers with great orchestras throughout the world.”

This grant will support Symphony in C’s Music Matters! multi-disciplinary education programs through its in-school Classroom Symphony and Orchestra Explorations programs, Concerts for Young People and Teens, and through its Super Symphony Summer Camp. The grant will further support the Professional Internship program training 78 aspiring musicians from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
